Dinner with ohana!
Ohana is our favorite restaurant. It is always booked- months in advance! We used to be able to come in standby Amd wait with a pager until they had space available- sometimes took 20 minutes, sometimes 3 hours.
They recently implemented a new policy for guests with nk reservations. You will not receive a pager. You will stand in a lime and they will seat whatever party size they have Room for. So if you've stood there with a party of two for an hour, but a standby party if six walks up & they have a six top table, they will go ahead of you.
So last night we it was just the two of us. As we stood in line, I started talking to my fellow standby victims that we were in for trouble as they kept pulling larger parties -in Lind BEHIND us- to be seated. We devised a plan to become whatever party size they wanted! Next time the guy from the podium said "how many in your party?" I said "however many you want us to be!". So 9 of us ate together 10 minutes later! We had a great time & made some new friends.
We will do whatever it takes for our ohana! Lol!
